Article

A war is happening in Yemen. Two groups are fighting for control of cities and land. A journalist visited the fighting area to see what life is like there. Government soldiers took him to the front line. A front line is where two armies are closest to each other.

Living Near the Fighting

Some people still live near the fighting. A man named Ali stayed at his home with his goats. His children left to be safe. Ali said he had to stay with the animals or his family would have no food. Bombs fell on his home, but he did not leave. Life there is very dangerous and very quiet.

A Strategic Port

The Houthi group took control of an important port city called Mokha. This port sits on the Red Sea. Ships use this area to travel between Europe and Asia. Now the Houthis control this shipping route. This made oil prices go up because people worried about supplies.
