Lighting and framing

Face a window or put a light in front of you, not behind. Position the camera at eye level and frame yourself from the chest up. Good, even light on your face and a level camera instantly look more professional.

Audio and background

Audio matters more than video — use headphones or a decent mic, and pick a quiet room. Keep the background tidy and neutral. You want them focused on you, not on clutter or echo.

Test everything beforehand

Do a test call the day before with the actual platform. Check camera, mic, lighting, and internet. Nothing rattles you like a tech scramble at the start — a five-minute test buys you a calm, confident opening.
