Article

You want to be healthy, but you think it costs too much money. Many people believe that exercise classes and wellness centers are expensive. The good news is that you can start healthy habits right now without spending a lot. You just need to use what you already have.

Walk Every Day

Walking is free and easy. You can walk in your neighborhood, at a park, or around your home. Walk for 20 or 30 minutes each day. This helps your heart stay strong. You do not need special shoes or clothes. Just step outside and start moving.

Drink More Water

Drinking water is one of the easiest healthy choices. Most people already have water at home. Drink water instead of sweet drinks. Your body needs water to work well. Try to drink eight glasses each day. It costs almost nothing, but it helps you feel better.

Stretch and Exercise at Home

You do not need a gym. Many free videos online show you how to exercise. You can do stretching, yoga, or simple movements in your living room. Use your body weight as exercise. Push-ups and sit-ups are free and work well. Do this three times each week.

Sleep Well

Good sleep is free and very important. Go to bed at the same time each night. Sleep in a dark, quiet room. Most adults need seven to nine hours of sleep. Good sleep helps your mind and body feel better. It costs you nothing, but it helps you a lot.

Eat Simple, Healthy Foods

You do not need expensive health foods. Buy simple foods like beans, rice, vegetables, and eggs. Cook at home instead of eating out. Eat slowly and enjoy your food. Healthy eating is cheaper when you cook yourself. Plan your meals before you go to the store.
