Article

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino is making his debut as a playwright with The Popinjay Cavalier, a historical comedy set in 1830s Europe scheduled to premiere in London's West End in March 2027. Sacha Baron Cohen, known for his roles in Borat and Ali G, will star in the production, which Tarantino will also direct. This represents a significant shift for the 63-year-old director, who has repeatedly stated his intention to retire from filmmaking after completing ten movies; he has directed nine to date.
