England will introduce legal restrictions on who can perform high-risk cosmetic procedures starting in 2027, responding to serious injuries and deaths linked to treatments performed by unqualified practitioners. The new rules will permit only trained medical professionals to offer procedures like liquid Brazilian butt lifts, vampire facials, and chemical peels. Currently, anyone can legally perform these 'no scalpel' procedures without formal credentials, creating opportunities for dangerous practitioners often called 'cosmetic cowboys.' The government aims to remove incompetent providers from the market while giving consumers confidence in identifying safe, qualified practitioners.
