Phoebe Waller-Bridge, creator of the television series Fleabag, has purchased a London flat and donated it to support early-career playwrights facing housing insecurity. The accommodation is part of Writers' Block, a new initiative designed to remove financial barriers for writers from disadvantaged backgrounds who need to remain in London for rehearsals, performances, and industry meetings. The resident will pay only utilities, not rent, allowing emerging talent to focus on developing their craft rather than surviving financially.
