Kerr University is based in Brooklyn, New York, and every student works 1-on-1, online, with founder Digby R. Kerr. Coaching or mentoring is $125/month, tutoring is $65 per lesson or about $50 a lesson on a monthly plan ($199/month for 4 lessons, $399/month for 8), and you can start with a free 30-minute intro class.

College tutoring
Undergraduate and graduate college tutoring
College students work with me 1-on-1, online, on the actual courses they are taking: first-year writing and composition, English and literature, history, and core business, management and economics classes, through to graduate seminars. Undergraduates get help with essays, research papers, heavy reading loads and exams. Graduate and MBA students get an experienced business partner for case studies, analytical papers, projects and capstones.
College tutoring uses the same pricing, $65 per 60-minute lesson or a monthly plan from $199, and every student starts with a free 30-minute intro class. Each student also gets a private Custom Study Portal with study aids built around their course.

I’m a Wharton-educated business executive. After about 35 years in business, including senior roles at FedEx, UPS, CEVA and XPO and building my own global logistics company, I retired at 50 and founded Kerr University™ to focus on what I enjoy most: teaching.

Questions about tutoring
What levels do you tutor?
AP and advanced high school courses, undergraduate classes and graduate coursework, including MBA-level business courses.
What subjects do you cover?
Business and management, operations, international business, marketing, economics, writing, literature, history (including AP U.S. History), government, public speaking and career development. If your course isn’t listed, ask. I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit.
How is my program customized?
You tell me the course, the materials and the topics you find hard. I build a plan around them, adjust it as you progress and use your study portal to reinforce each topic between sessions.
Will you do my homework or write my paper?
No. I teach you to understand the material and do the work yourself, because that is what carries you through exams and beyond. I explain, model, review and give feedback, always within your school’s academic integrity rules.
How much does tutoring cost?
A single 60-minute lesson is $65, paid securely through Stripe. Monthly plans are $199/month for 4 lessons (Weekly Plan) or $399/month for 8 lessons (Twice-Weekly Plan), about $50 a lesson. Your first 30-minute intro class is free.
Do you offer monthly tutoring plans?
Yes. The Weekly Plan is 4 lessons a month for $199/month instead of $260, and the Twice-Weekly Plan is 8 lessons a month for $399/month instead of $520. Both work out to about $50 a lesson, about 23% off pay-as-you-go pricing, and both include your own custom, secure study portal. To start a plan, book a free 30-minute intro class. Mentoring and coaching stay $125/month.
What is in the private study portal?
Study guides, flashcards, listen-along audio with transcripts and practice quizzes for your course, all in your own private account.
Can parents or advisors follow progress?
Yes. With my approval, a parent or advisor gets a separate, view-only account that shows the student’s study activity and quiz results. Everyone signs in with their own email.
How are sessions held?
Online by video on Google Meet, Zoom or WhatsApp, at a time that works for you. Please give 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.
